Rlc. Karen Yasuda 'Volcano Queen' (5.5" Pot) - First Bloom

This red cattleya orchid hybrid, Rlc. Karen Yasuda 'Volcano Queen', is now producing buds/blooms.  A showpiece cross of Rlc. Volcano Red Sunset x Rlc. Kaoru Suzuki. This beautiful original Rhyncholaeliocattleya variety was created by our founder, Mr. Moriyasu Akatsuka and originates from our orchid nursery here in Volcano, Hawaii.

These plants are clones, which means the bloom will look like sample photo. Most Cattleyas will give off a bud with 2 blooms.  Sometimes they do only form a single bud.
