This intriguing Cycnoches orchid is a seedling hybrid made from Cyc. cooperi 'Dark Star' and Cyc. Richard Brandon 'Sun Spots'.  Side by side images represents parents in cross.

Please note:  This family of orchids will go through a period of dormancy after it blooms.  Leaves will yellow and drop after and possibly during blooming.  This is completely normal.  The main pseudobulb will be bald at some point. In the spring, new growth will emerge, resume regular watering to keep media moist but not soggy.
