A black cymbidium orchid hybrid. Syn. Cym. LIttle Black Sambo but renamed by the RHS to Helen Bannerman.  Near-black maroon flowers, accented by a dash of yellow at the center of its lip and accompanied by a faint spicy fragrance are unveiled on pendant spikes during blooming season.
